Cosmetic Procedures

Not so very long ago it was the common wisdom to accept what you were given with good grace and smile bravely no matter how miserable it made you feel. That especially applied to your appearance. If there was a blemish or disfigurement, slight or obvious, it was seen as your lot in life to just rise above it.

This attitude existed because up ‘till recently most of these flaws simply could not be corrected. So this great advice was borne out of necessity. No point in worrying about something you can't fix. That was then.
